classic 350

Royal Enfield Classic 350

The smaller twin of the Classic 500, the Classic 350 will hold its own against any other motorcycle and then pull some more. The Classic 350 shares its powerplant with the legendary Thunderbird Twinspark. The torque to flatten mountains and the fuel efficiency to cross entire ranges comes in the same understated yet charming styling. This is a motorcycle that does not need to shout to be heard. Born of a rich heritage and bred with Royal Elegance this 350cc thumper has all the qualities of a typical Royal Enfield. Appreciated then, appreciated now... Why ride a lesser bike. Nothing more to be said?

classic 500

Royal Enfield Classic 500

Royal Enfield Classic 500 is backed with high performance fuel injected 500cc engine that promises best of power, reliability and riding stability. Besides raw power, the bike is also designed to provide superior fuel efficiency and reliability. The classic styling makes it look like a beast on the road marching ahead with a roar. The engine is smooth which makes biking thrilling yet reliable. Classic 500Chrome belongs to the family of Classic 500 but what sets it apart is the special chrome treatment.

Honda Activa

Honda has clearly spent considerable time and energy perfecting the design of this gearless scooter to make it appeal to the metropolitan driver, and the new 2015 Honda Activa 3G 110 shows some significant and welcome changes, with a fully revamped tubular underbone chassis. While not the most adventurous design you’ll see, it’s a bold effort with many positive features. The mudguard, new side panels, 3D Activa badges and front fairing are sleek and well designed, and all display the main body color. The mask of the bike features large headlamps and oblong turn indicators; and the rear-view mirror, which is black on all models, is also attached to the mask. The bike’s body is solid and sturdy, and weighs approximately 108kg, making it heavier than its rivals in the same class.

electra 350

Royal Enfield Electra 350

The Electra now comes packed with the power and reliability of Royal Enfields latest Twinspark Unit Construction Engine. Along with the UCE engine come the double benefits of more power, and better fuel economy, more reliability and lesser maintenance. In terms of styling the latest Electra still keeps it simple following the lines of the traditional Bullet but still adding its unmistakably distinctive style to it. Everybody still makes way for the Electra Twinspark.

Bajaj Avenger

Whether or not you’ll like this bike will depend on whether you view it as classic or simply old-fashioned. If digital instruments are not a necessity, or if you want a bike with serious raw power, the Avenger 220 is a great choice.

Hero Karizma ZMR

The mean machine by Hero Honda called the Karizma ZMR has dominated hugely the two wheeler market and made its way through the hearts of countless youngsters. The mileage of Karizma ZMR is quite good of about 35-45 kilometers per liter keeping in mind its high displacement engine. Karizma ZMR gives tough competition to other such high cc engine bikes, becoming the dream bike of the generation next.

Yamaha FZ

Christened as ‘The lord of the streets’, it indeed looks the part. With a fat rear tyre to crush the competition and naked aggressive styling, the FZ is a hit in the premium 150cc market. The engine is a 153cc carburetted unit putting out 13.8 bhp and 13.6 Nm of torque. The bike is also equipped with modern technology like tubeless tires, digital gauges and monoshock suspension. The mileage figure stands at 50 kmpl. The bike’s refinement and looks make it a formidable street bike in the market.

Royal Enfield Himalayan

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is an odd design. The company says that while it wanted to do an adventure tourer, it didn’t want to go where the current segment is. The RE Himalayan, then, has a functional simplicity to it. There’s an almost industrial focus to the design which I find very appealing. And I have to mention here that the motorcycle looks a lot better up close and in the flesh than in the pictures. There are angles from which the Himalayan looks awkward or disproportionate, but by and large, it’s a handsome, spartan motorcycle that looks like a tool or a machine rather than the fancy, plastic-covered gargantua that pass for adventure tourers today.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

The new Swift has better seating arrangement than before; its front bucket type seats are extremely comfortable. There is enough shoulder and head room in this car at its front. Its increased length manages to give you just enough knee room at the back of this car. The car is blessed with many vital features which add to its convenience and comfort. It has new electric power steering with tilt option for adjustment and driver seat height adjuster which allows you to get the perfect convenient position while driving. The top model of this car features electrically adjustable outside mirrors with all four power windows with auto-down function (driver side only). Other features of this car include keyless entry, rear de-fogger, Automatic climate control and one touch lane shift indicator.

Ford Figo

The Figo diesel is equipped with the same 1.4L engine which is currently powering the Ford Ikon and Ford Fiesta and the Indian petrol version is equipped with a new 1.2L. The petrol variant gives a mileage of around 12.5 kmpl in the city while on the highway it offers around 15.5 kmpl. and the diesel returns a mileage of around 16 kmpl in the city while on the highway it delivers a mileage of 19 kmpl.

Renault Lodgy

The Renault Lodgy seems to have wiggled into a sweet spot in the crowded MPV market with the Lodgy. It blends space, comfort, good driving dynamics and strong performance into a convincing package. As a family car, this MPV is hard to beat. It makes for a happy companion, especially on holidays, thanks to its unmatched cruising ability and long fuel range. It’s not all perfect though. The quest to liberate as much room as possible has made the Lodgy a touch too boxy, which could be a deal breaker for some..

Toyota Innova

The Innova has been India’s favourite MPV ever since its launch more than a decade ago. Even in the face of newer, cheaper competition, the Innova managed to hold its own thanks to the supreme comfort and reliability the MPV offers

Renault Duster

The Renault Duster is certainly accomplished, even though it can't seat seven people like the larger SUVs in the market and the fact that the interiors aren't too special. But viewed in totality, the Duster has a lot going for it. It looks smart, comes with a comfortable and spacious-enough cabin and is well-built too. The 108.5bhp diesel engine has ample pep for most occasions and also scores on fuel economy. The handling is predictable, but what most buyers will be interested in is the fantastic ride quality that is good enough to humble some more expensive saloons. All Renault needs now is to enhance its sales and service setup because, in the Duster, they have the ideal urban SUV for India.

Hyundai Xcent

Hyundai does its homework well with intense market research prior to developing a new car. The Xcent is proof of this approach, because it offers buyers almost all that they could want from a compact sedan. Its well-proportioned design and sizeable boot are just the start. You also get a well-equipped, high-quality cabin that is comfy, so long as you don’t routinely travel with five on board. Both petrol and diesel engines are also well suited to urban settings, and the light controls help here as well. Refinement is good and, to be honest, theres little room for serious complaint. Its only the unexciting driving experience and the diesels lack of punch that work against the Xcent, really. If those aspects dont bother you much, the well-priced Xcent makes a really fine choice of compact sedan. Lets hope Hyundai can meet the demand, because the Xcent has the makings of a big seller.

Hyundai Verna

Hyundai Verna has always been among the most important products for the South Korean automaker. While the first two generations lacked the oomph factor that its arch-rival Honda City had, the third generation Verna, launched in 2012, changed everything for the carmaker. Built on Hyundai's Fluidic design philosophy, the third-generation Verna set a new benchmark in all four departments - exterior styling, interior quality, safety and engine performance - especially the 1.6-litre diesel unit.

Ford Figo Aspire

The Ford Figo Aspire is easily the best proportioned sub-4 metre car in India. It draws on the Ford global family look, which many says is aspired by... ah sorry, inspired by Aston Martin's design language. So there's a bold and large front grille, equally large head-lamps, and a clear stress on making the car look well-finished and rich in material terms. It is the same inside too; with better looking plastics and colours than the rivals. Equipment-wise too, the car is packed to the gills.

Maruti SwiftDzire

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Dzire in the Indian market back in 2008. Since then, the vehicle has managed to become Maruti’s best-selling sedan ever. Now, the brand has launched a heavily updated model with more features and improved efficiency. On the outside, the new DZire sports a new bumper design, headlamps with a black tinge, fog lamps bezel with chrome accents. The additional chrome elements and the restyled bumper give the car a more elegant appearance. Further improving the looks are the new alloy wheels. However, when viewed from the rear, this new model looks pretty similar to the old model with the same wraparound taillights and the stubby boot lid.

Maruti Alto 800

Maruti Suzuki has launched a mid-life facelift of the Alto 800.The changes in the facelift include a new grille, which has been replaced by a slimmer one with the logo mounted below it. The car also gets a provision for fog lamps, which are well-integrated in the bumper. The lower half of the bumper houses a large intake, which as compared to the last generation car has been inverted to make it look more aggressive.

Chevrolet Beat

The Chevrolet Beat is a hatchback for those who want a stylish run-about, which is fun to drive while being easy to maintain and frugal to run.The dashboard is also borrowed with subtle changes. The highlight on the inside will be the addition of Chevrolet's latest MyLink infotainment system with support for both Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto.

"Only good things to say! I was lucky, I guess, the bike was brand new out of showroom, with 50 km on the odometer. Not a glitch in the engine in spite of having been riding under the toughest conditions : monsoon in Arunachal !. My own experience with Awe Rides has been outstanding and I will recommend them without hesitation to all my biker friends coming to ride in the North-East."
